Author Biography

Dr. Ezhil Vendhan

Dr. Ezhil Vendhan is a celebrated poet from India and a recipient of several international accolades. He has been writing poems for over four decades, many poems have been published in journals and anthologies in India and abroad.

His five poetry anthologies PAATHAIYORATHTHU PAARIJAATHANGAL (poems in Tamil, 1989), VELICHCHA VIZHUDHUGAL (poems in Tamil, 2002), LUMINOUS TENTACLES (poems in English, 2018), TENTACULES LUMINEUSES (poems in French, 2019), PARLAQ NÜMUN?L?R (poems in Azerbaijani, 2019) published to his credit till date.

He is the founder president of Global Vision Poetry and is associated with many international literary organisations. He is Vice President of World Nations Writers Union and the President of South India chapter of World Union of Poets. His poems have been translated into twenty-five languages including Chinese and Spanish. His name finds place in the National Panel of Indian Republic Day National Poets since 1995. His poem on Banyan Tree, the National Tree of India, originally written in Tamil in 1991 was judged the best poem from the classical language Tamil for the Indian Republic Day Multilingual National Symposium of Poets -1995.
