A Trip To America

I have visited New Jersey in America

which has a growing skyline and

hundreds of yachts anchored on

the edge of the river.

The sky was full of bluish-purple, rain-

laden clouds, which brings out

the colour and texture of plants.

We reached Starbucks, which provided

more facility than breathing space,

where the ambience made one relax.

We have visit Rockefeller Centre and

midtown which is the proximity of

the area and the sightseeing places.

It was difficult to put into words

the mesmerizing beauty of New

York City, the Empire State, and

Museum of Modern Art.

We went to southern end which brought

our journey to Ground Zero-former

site of World Trade Centre.

New York began from this place and

its development is reflected in

the dense, twisted street known

as Financial District.

I was excited to see the New York

specially Statue of Liberty, Central

Park, and Brooklyn Bridge.

We have visited ‘Walt Disney Land,’

where dream comes true for a tourist

and then we went to enjoy the sea

world Orlando.

In this place visitors can feed dolphins

and California’s sea lions, which boasts

an amazing amount of

tourist destinations.

Philadelphia is the first city in America

to guarantee religious freedom and

is the first state to abolish slavery.

United States was born at Pennsylvania

State House, better known today as

Independence Hall in Philadelphia.

My Lovely Tree

Outside our house there is a lovely tree,

standing proudly for decades.

In the morning, when I wake up, I could

see this auspicious holy fig tree.

I feel a pleasantness and keep watching

this tree and get solace in my mind.

I can see the rising sun through her

lush free leaves in the early morning.

Some flowers beside our courtyard

under this tree were dancing in the breeze.

In Spring, I could see her new leaves,

which always repels the insects.

Holy fig trees are playing significant

role in moderating climate.

They stood silently watch us laugh,

Cry, and watching our daily activities.

I leave my worry behind and relax

my mind by watching the rising sun.

I enjoy the lovely scenery of flying

butterflies and birds around the tree.

I always sit under this tree in summer,

and we both became good friends.

I Was A Village Boy

I was brought up in a remote village

near a small hill station.

I used to toil tirelessly under the amber

glow of kerosene lamp.

I lost my mother when I was a child,

my father was my guide.

I crossed many hurdles in my teenage

period but I was tired.

I had a chance to pursue higher studies

as a private candidate.

The educational qualification was

an essential part of my life.

It is true to say that living life is not

as simple as crossing the field.

Life is a journey, but it requires enthusiasm

and an interest to learn.

Like migratory birds, I was travelling

to different places to survive.

I love my loveliest village where the children

play happily in park.

Houses are connected by brick-faced roads

and old-fashioned streetlights.

My sweet village has loveliest lawns,

where I spend time happily.

Flower like Dahlias in many colours are

available in our village.

Palm trees, banana plants, and mango

trees give lush ambience.

The village has a close-knit community

and professional services of people.

My village has its friendly neighbourhoods

representing cultures.

The bone-chilling winds are blowing

across the village in climate.

In the fragrance of morning, I spread

stocky seeds to the pigeons.

I walked through the golden rice fields

to watch the harvest.

I can hear noises of birds when they sit

on the leafless trees.

The parrots with their green tails

maintain the jungle set up.

Kingfishers and woodpeckers have

created paradise in village.

My villagers spend their time fantastically

during the village-fair.

The village market remains filled

with yellow and juicy mangoes.

But the village had been on the verge

of a drinking water crisis.

So, everyday I used to get up early

to do day’s water collecting.
